Ryan McIntosh was appointed as the organization's first Deputy Director in April of 2023. His duties involve supporting the management, programs, and strategic planning of the organization. In addition, he oversees marketing and community outreach efforts.

Ryan has been involved in emergency services for 18 years, having worked his way through the ranks to become a District Fire Chief. Additionally, Ryan currently serves as a NYS Corrections Officer and EMT. Mental health has become an increasingly important topic for him, particularly after realizing he needed help himself. Ryan believes that reaching out for help and finally being able to express oneself is a liberating experience. As a result, he aims to improve mental health support within the first responder community and hopes to encourage others to speak up.

Ryan holds an Associate Degree in Fire Protection and Technology from Jefferson Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University
