Cassandra Johnson
Peer Program Coordinator

In May 2023, Cassandra Johnson assumed the role of Peer Program Coordinator, where she oversees various administrative tasks related to the onboarding, tracking, and management of Peer Support Volunteers. She also organizes social and appreciation events for volunteers and collaborates with the Clinical Education Committee and Deputy Director to design and facilitate training programs, as well as manage other essential aspects of PWC's internal operations. Additionally, Cassandra coordinates the availability of Peer Support Volunteers, conducts interviews and recruitment as well as debriefings with PSV's when necessary.

With six years of experience in Emergency Services, Cassandra is currently a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT for the Lorraine Fire Department. She is also employed as a Peer Advocate and Recovery Coach for Bridging The Gap Care Management. Having dealt with depression herself from an early age, Cassandra has a personal connection to mental health issues, which motivated her to join Priority Wellness Campaign and help others struggling with similar challenges.

Her motto is...

"One day, you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through, and it will become someone else's survival guide."
